More Life

In Hebrew, the word translated as blessing means more life, or to increase, and good fortune. Blessing in Buddhism is considered a protective power, a way of sharing good with another. There are many varying traditions that use blessing in their own way, but all with a similar intent bestowed…

More life.

“Sometimes our light goes out, but is blown into flame by another human being.
Each of us owes deepest thanks to those have rekindled this light.”
~Albert Schweitzer

There is a lot happening in the heart these days. The collective as well the individual heart. Many colleagues and loved ones are dealing with physical heart issues, afib, blockages, tension, sorrow, heartbreak, surgeries, and the like. Upgrades. As well as fulfillment, beauty, adventure, birth, rebirth, and new self. Upgrades.

The heart, as we know from current science and ancient wisdom, is an organ more central to our function than our brains, an intelligence we are only beginning to understand scientifically with a communication system something akin to how we now understand trees, speaking with each other through the root systems underneath the surface of the earth.

Your heart is never isolated. It is pumping blood through your own body, yes, and it is a sense organ, a transponder, a receiver, a magnet, a messenger, a burden carrier, a lover, and potentially a giver. Of more life.

So, it makes sense that we would experience the nuances of upgrades in this center as the world heaves its collective trauma, heartbreaks, fractures, pressure, tension and fissures to the surface. So that a new individual and global future has the opportunity to take shape as one heart whispers to another it’s intent.

“Let everyone sweep in front of his own door
and the whole world will be clean.” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it.” ~Rumi

The value of tending the fire of your heart cannot be overestimated; the fierceness as well as the grace it whispers through your roots to the hearts of others. Vampires of life come in all variations from masquerading people and establishments and seemingly bright shiny everythings, to viruses and microbiome, to world issues, to your own habits, patterns and addictions.

In quantum mechanics, when particles collide, whether in catastrophe or serendipity, the explosion of energy means the particles do not return to the original form. The particles take new forms, a new relationship. And if there is intent added to the experiment, the intent guides the shape of the particles.

There is a communication system going on among those who are listening (and even those who are not yet). An upgrade (and an opportunity for upgrade) of the heart centers as we move forward living simultaneously in the mystery of it all while creating as we currently know how the new world of our choosing—individually and universally.

Don’t let the gravity scare you. Live in the merriment of perfect order, as this centers you in the intelligence of your heart and your heart whispers to other hearts the grandest possibilities. Bless it in whatever way you know how. With authentic and unselfish intent. With words. With actions. With imagination. With integrity and intention.

Speak more life into being.

You never know when the smallest choice will change your life dramatically and when you are participating in another’s serendipity. Running to the store to buy your favorite food and meeting someone significant. Crossing the lane at this moment instead of that and missing the car that ran the red light. A brief mention on the trail that feeds the heart of another. Saying no, or enough, and opening the space for something much more extraordinary.

Connect with others. Honor others. Honor yourself. Laugh. Play. Do your work in the noblest way. And make it a priority. This will empower your choices, your heart, your body, your business and your relationships, calibrating you to what is true.

“When we talk about settling the world’s problems,
we’re barking up the wrong tree.
The world is perfect. It’s a mess. It has always been a mess.
We are not going to change it. Our job is to straighten out our own lives.”
~Joseph Campbell

Nourish your heart, and thereby everyone’s heart, with the paradoxical insignificance and significance of each choice you make. Honor the awareness and exit of patterns you’ve erased from your repertoire, yes, and the truth and hopefully love with which you’ve replaced them.

Look to your future self, who is already living yours and each other’s grandest vision. There you can receive the insight you need to guide your steps and awareness in the present moment. Weave your future and the world with more life, with blessing, with the astonishing power of your own light, choice by ordinary choice.

Here’s to more of You making an amazing world,

Shelley
